The Struggle is still on...

15 August is the time not only to celebrate our independence but also to thank our martyrs for its because of them that we are breathing in free air. India has had a glorious past ,it had made great cultural, spiritual and scientific advancements when most part of the world was still developing in its cradle. During the British rule, India and Indians suffered a great setback but like a true warrior it has emerged as an incredible nation. Since independence we have made great improvement in the field of science and technology, mass media, agricultural yield, space research , defence services ,national economy, medicine etc. While we boast of the attainment of independence we fail to realize that the struggle for independence is still not over. We are still bound in shackles of poverty, hunger, unemployment, uneducation, corruption ,regionalism, communalism ,nepotism and many such virtual dictators. The benefit of independence has not reached a good majority for whom this independence makes no sense when they are hunger-stricken ,striving hard to get a time’s meal and still being exploited by the ones who are better than them. Very few of us actually understand the meaning of national freedom for if we really understood then power and resources wouldn’t have been concentrated in the hands of a few people. Today we all have a greater responsibility of maintaining our independence and availing it to everyone. We have to free our motherland from the numerous problems it is facing today and this can be done only when we take pride in being an Indian. So lets pledge solmenly that we will relief our motherland from her grief.

It's true that today we have achieved independence but still we don't understand the true meaning of it. The fruits of independence which we are enjoying today is not the result of our efforts. If we give a look back to our freedom struggle rather then we can realise a single pain of it.
If today we have been given time to enjoy our pleasures then we need to give effort to add value to it.
I think, today still,we are bound with the chain of slavery-slavery of poverty, illitracy, gender discrimination and uncountable hurdles are still on the way of total independence. The first thing to get independence is the independence of thought. For this people need to be litrate. The hungre of awarness should be there in the minds.India being one of the oldest civilization, only 52% of the population is literate.Over half of the worlds illitrate may be in india.Every day people die of hunger and poverty but still we feel proud that we are independent. We need to think that what have we contributed or paid back for the lives of the freedom fighters-not a single effort. We are caught in the Web of Selfishness and still trying to make it more strong. we really need to be independent first from our own selfish thoughts and then only we can say that we are the citizen of Independen Nation "INDEPENDENT INDIA"

freedom is not free of cost but it comes along with certain responsibilities and duties.when we enjoy freedom we should not forget that we owe a lot to the nation and we can't afford to sit complacent with our lives , we need to see that everyone gets his rightful share.

As there was a national awakening pre independence , a more or less similar awakenig is required at the moment to free our countrymen from hunger, poverty , euemployment and despair.we should not remain complacent with the present situation when only a few remain lucky to avail all the resources while millions are still deprived of even the meagre needs.
