TIME TO WAKE UP AND RESPOND

Past week the nation went through a phase of political turmoil। The UPA government won the trust vote but the nation witnessed the snatch-and-dash to the finish line। All socio-economic activities were greatly affected in this political turbulence. This entire deal , no-deal process and the behaviour of our parlimentarians has not only tainted the political set-up but revealed the hollowness of the greatest democracy of the world. The picture that has come up is that democracy is not serving the people but the handful of those sitting in the Parliament. It has become very clear that Indian politics has dwindled beyond the level one could imagine. When one has got the task of leading the nation then he should rise above all pettiness and serve the country. The opposition should also play a healthy role rather than just leg-pulling and presenting wrong picture in front of the people. The youth now needs to awaken and start questioning because whatever has happened is certainly not acceptable to we people. We need to come to the forefront, stand together and strive to strengthen the system । Our endeavours should be to make our democracy a paticipatory one which includes transparency and accountability। We also need to curtail the role of resources in the election contest and politics on the whole। The politicians should be the best amongst us , we should promote merit and not money. Youth which represents one-third of the population have an active and obligatory role to play to make our country ‘democratic’ in true sense.
Oxygen… a movement view

we all are a part of this great nation but how ofyen do we realize it? most of the time we remain ynaffected by the socoi-political effects until it directly affects us.do we want to be mere entities in our own country if not then we must wake up and invole ourselves in national politics by-
(1)taking intrest in national affairs
(2)forming and presenting a clear and unbiased political view both at home and in public
(3)casting votes in favour of that candidate who is eligible and really deserves to be a leader

if we don't act today we will repent tomorrow . if remain quiet accept things as they are going on at national level then this will only lead to the detoriation of the democratic picture of our nation . we all need to respond to the nation's call and set off for a real political reform.
