Day of action against Coaching Scam

26th Feb, 2012 is quite a day of significance. It's the day of action and most importantly, against coaching scam. Since 10.30 a.m in the morning students assembled near S. K. Puri, Childrens’ park where till 1.00 pm they put forward their views regarding the exploitation of students by the coaching institutions. Not only did they appealed to the coaching institutes but also towards the state government to take student friendly policies and acts to bring about transparency in the field of education. This gathering of BACHCHO KI ADALAT was addressed by school and college going students along with teachers, parents and educationists who whole-heartedly supported this effort.
Renowned economist Prof. Nawal Kishore Chaudhary spoke today in the “Bachchon Ki Adalat”. Out of his busy schedule, he took out his precious time and shared his opinions regarding the coaching scam. He was of the view that “Education is our right and to achieve it we should fight against any obstacle hindering the way to it. In the existence of schools and colleges is there any need for coaching institutes? When our Govt. is transparent, why can’t the coaching institutes follow the same trend? There has to be complete transparency in the field of education and we should strive to achieve it till the last moment and that also unanimously.”
Convener of Students’ Oxygen Movement, Binod Singh was of the opinion that “coaching institutes nowadays are more commercialized and to generate their revenues they aren’t even sparing the students. It is high time that we raise our voices and protest against the commercialization of education.”
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Zafar, teacher of May Flower school, appreciated the effort of students and said that “for the first time Bachcho ki Adalat has been launched in Bihar and it is hoped that in the near future it spreads to even far away places.”
As we continue with our fight against coaching scams, we place three basic and genuine demands in students' interest-
1). Coaching fees to be paid on monthly basis.
2). Total number of students enrolled in a coaching institution to be made public.
3). Details of special coaching groups to be published.
As every cloud has a silver lining, we sincerely hope that our 3 demands favoring the educational scenario, would be met at the earliest. We should clamor these three rational demands till the last moment and it is a fight in which one day or the other, the victory would be ours.
